1. food allergy (I am not, nor is anyone in my family, allergic to any foods. This diagnosis made me VERY depressed. Life is worthless if you have a food allergy. :::yes, I'm being dramatic::: I was prescribed Prednisone.)
2. scabies (Are you serious?!?! I asked my doctor to further explain to me what scabies is and how it is contracted. She told me to, "Look it up." Did i mention she is my PCP through an HMO? I was prescribed scabies cream that was to be applied once and left on for 10 hours.)
3. Tide detergent (I was advised to buy a no phosphates detergent and add 1/2 cup of white vinegar to my rinse cycle.)
Okay... so I was finally diagnosed two weeks after the onset of my rash with...
P-I-T-Y-R-I-A-S-I-S R-O-S-E-A
Pityriasis rosea is a common rash usually seen in individuals between the
ages of 10 to 35 years old. The rash typically lasts six to eight weeks, rarely
extending 12 weeks or longer. Once a person has pityriasis rosea, it
generally does not recur in their lifetime. Try saying that three times fast!
This rash has kept me preoccupied. I've also been addicted to pinterest.
*I know it's June 2nd. I wrote this about a week ago and didn't have a chance to post it until now.
